Adding Your OpenAI & ElevenLabs Keys

AphaSay supports bring-your-own API keys for AI reconstruction and voice cloning. How to get and add them securely.

AphaSay can run on your own OpenAI and ElevenLabs accounts. This is optional — it gives you direct control over usage and billing for the AI features.

Getting the keys

  • ·OpenAI — create an account, open the API keys page, and generate a new secret key (powers transcription and reconstruction).
  • ·ElevenLabs — create an account and copy your API key from profile settings (powers voice cloning).

Adding them to the app

  1. 1Open Settings → AI keys.
  2. 2Paste your OpenAI key, then your ElevenLabs key.
  3. 3Save — keys are stored in the device's secure storage, never in plain text.

Keep keys private

Your keys are stored on-device in SecureStore and are never shared. Treat them like passwords — anyone with a key can use your account's quota.
